All APR is calculated centrally.
Your broadcast provides the basis for artists’ APR. You earn while your approved signal is on air. APR verifies and records both centrally.
What you need
- Your own Spotify Premium
- Every operator uses their own Premium account. Accounts are not shared and your password stays with you.
- A computer and stable connection
- Your computer needs to stay awake and connected while broadcasting. The first app proposal builds on desktop Spotify and APR Operator.
- APR’s assignment
- Play only APR playlists, and only those assigned to you. Your own material and other playlists are not included.
How do I become an operator?
Apply and tell us about your computer, availability and the languages or genres you are interested in. We review, approve, decline or ask a follow-up question. APR then decides your assignment.
Do I need a Chrome extension?
The first proposed client is Spotify plus a simple APR Operator desktop app. That route does not need a Chrome extension. The app would connect your channel, manage playback and show signal status. The installer still needs to be completed.
What counts as an active signal?
The correct assigned playlist is playing and the channel’s radio stream works. APR verifies the signal and its broadcast track records. An open app or local playback is insufficient if the channel is offline. Outages pause earnings for that time.
What are the rules?
Use your own Spotify Premium, follow your assignment and maintain a stable signal. Do not share accounts or submit false operation or playback reports. Microphone and other computer audio must be excluded. You cover your computer, internet and Spotify. APR retains editorial control and handles all token calculations.
